At home with Rabbie Burns – a nearly Burns night celebration, in music, poetry and song with the Sassenach Baroque Ensemble and Rosemary Galton, soprano.

Tickets include a traditional neeps, tatties & haggis supper, plus a dram of whisky!

Shake off those post-Christmas winter blues with a truly magical evening of musical entertainment, poetry and of course whisky organised by the new Friends of Burgh House committee.

The Sassenach Baroque Ensemble will perform trio sonatas by Scottish composers including Kelly, Oswald, McGibbon, Geminiani, and flute sonatas by Alexander Munro and Clerk of Penycuik. Plus many traditional tunes, reels, laments and Stathspeys. It promises to be a wonderful evening fit to welcome in the New year.

Burgh House & Hampstead Museum

Burgh House is a beautiful Queen Anne house in the heart of Hampstead in London. A registered charity it is open free of charge to the public as a community arts centre with a changing program of art exhibitions and classical concerts.

Burgh House is also home to the Hampstead Museum, with over 3,000 objects relating to art and life in Hampstead. A permanent display is located on the first floor, tracing Hampstead history from prehistoric times to the modern day.

The licensed Buttery cafe serves delicious lunches, mother watering teas and weekend brunch. Book early to sample their famous Sunday roast!
